Transcription profiling time series of Arabidopsis plants grown under elevated C02 conditions


ABSTRACT: Plants were grown in liquid media at ambient air composition [0.03% CO2, 78.97% N2, 21% O2] for 12 days. On 13th day one set (“perturbed set”) of samples (20 samples) were exposed to air with elevated CO2 composition [1% CO2, 78% N2, 21% O2] and the other set (“control set”) of samples (20 samples) were continued to grow at air of ambient composition. Two samples (shake flasks containing plants) were harvested at 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24 and 30 hours from each of the two sets after the start of the treatment. From each of the “control” and “perturbed” set 4 samples were harvested to serve as pre-treatment controls.
