There has been a lack of research into this specific cancer, especially regarding the differences between the two subtypes. Here we compared the transcriptome of normal ovary (n=1) and GCT (n=5), and characterized the differences between the adult (n=3) and juvenile (n=2) subtype.</description><repository>biostudies-arrayexpress</repository><sample_protocol>Library Construction - The library was constructred using Illumina TruSeq Stranded Total RNA, including rRNA depletion with Illumina RiboZero.</sample_protocol><sample_protocol>Sample Collection - Samples were collected from patients undergoing surgery. Granulosa cell tumors (3 adult and 2 juvenile) and one matched normal ovarynwere snap frozen and stored at -70C.</sample_protocol><sample_protocol>Nucleic Acid Extraction - The samples were homogenized using a tissue lyser. Total RNA was then extracted using TRIzol and purified with the miRNeasy Mini Kit (Qiagen). On-column DNAse digestion was used to remove residual amounts of genomic DNA.</sample_protocol><sample_protocol>Sequencing - Samples were sequenced on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform with S2 flow cell and 2x51 setup. The Bcl to FastQ conversion was performed using bcl2fastq_v2.19.1.403 from the CASAVA software suite.</sample_protocol><figure_sub>Organization</figure_sub><figure_sub>MINSEQE Score</figure_sub><figure_sub>Assays and Data</figure_sub><figure_sub>Processed Data</figure_sub><figure_sub>MAGE-TAB Files</figure_sub><data_protocol>Data Transformation - All reads were mapped against the human genome (GRCh37) using STAR.
