These animals were offspring of dams subjected to a Nutritional Protein Restriction (NPR) at the prepubertal age as described by Mateo et al. (2023) [doi: 10.1016/j.livsci.2023.105173]. These animals were reared in the same batch that other 8 Assaf suckling lambs obtained from Control dams of the NPR experiment for which RNA-Seq samples are already available (see E-MTAB-11839 for RNA-Seq data of Control lambs). These 8 NPR animals were selected from a larger group of 17 NPR suckling lambs for which carcass traits were measured. The 8 selected lambs were those from the 17 initially considered lambs showing the highest and the lowest values , from the larger group, for the percentage of kidney knob and channel fat relative to the right half carcass weight (KKCF). Hence, considering the values for this trait, we defined the High-KKCF group (n = 4; average: 3.26 ± 0.11) and the Low-KKCF group (n = 4; 1.68 ± 0.25), respectively.</description><repository>biostudies-arrayexpress</repository><sample_protocol>Sequencing - Eight stranded paired-end libraries (one for each sample) were prepared. cDNA libraries were sequenced to a minimum depth of 30 million paired-end reads on a Novaseq 6000 (Illumina) generating stranded paired-end reads of 150 bp, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.</sample_protocol><sample_protocol>Nucleic Acid Extraction - The RNA extraction was performed using the miRNeasy Mini KIT (Qiagen) modified to use in adipose tissue.</sample_protocol><sample_protocol>Sample Collection - Samples from perirenal fat perirenal adipose tissue were collected from each lamb after sacrifice at the commercial slaughterhouse. The tissue was preserved in an RNA-stabilization solution (Ambion RNAlater; Life Technologies) and stored at 4 °C for 24 h. After that, the RNA-stabilization solution was removed, and the samples were later frozen at -80 °C until RNA extraction.</sample_protocol><sample_protocol>Library Construction - Once the RNA was obtained, the cDNA library construction and sequencing were conducted at Novogene in Cambridge (UK) by using the UltraTM RNA Library Prep Kit (NEBNext®).</sample_protocol><figure_sub>MINSEQE Score</figure_sub><figure_sub>Assays and Data</figure_sub><figure_sub>organisation</figure_sub><figure_sub>MAGE-TAB Files</figure_sub><omics_type>Metabolomics</omics_type><omics_type>Unknown</omics_type><omics_type>Transcriptomics</omics_type><omics_type>Genomics</omics_type><omics_type>Proteomics</omics_type><instrument_platform>Illumina NovaSeq 6000</instrument_platform><study_type>RNA-seq of coding RNA</study_type><species>Ovis aries</species><pubmed_title>Transcriptomic analyses reveal elucidate the intergenerational effects of an early-life protein restriction on offspring adipose tissue development: insights from a sheep model</pubmed_title><additional_accession>E-MTAB-11839</additional_accession><pubmed_authors>Alonso-García, M.; Suárez-Vega, A.; Arranz, JJ.; Gutiérrez-Gil, B.</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>María Alonso García</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Aroa Suárez-Vega</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Beatriz Gutiérrez-Gil</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>RNA-Seq of perirenal adipose tissue of Assaf suckling lambs whose dam were subjected to a dietary protein restriction at prepubertal age</name><description>Samples of perirenal fat tissue from 8 Assaf breed suckling lambs.
