The cis-chelating bidentate ligand is capable of forming very stable heteroleptic [Cu(NN)(PP)]&lt;sup>+&lt;/sup> complexes in which a metal-bound diimine ligand (bpy, phen, or mmp) is located within the cyclodextrin cavity.
