This study aimed to identify candidate genes involved in Haiyang Yellow Chickens' growth and to understand the regulatory role of the key gene ALOX5 (arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase) in myoblast proliferation and differentiation. In order to search the key candidate genes in the process of muscle growth and development, RNA sequencing was used to compare the transcriptomes of chicken muscle tissues at four developmental stages and to analyze the effects of ALOX5 gene interference and overexpression on myoblast proliferation and differentiation at the cellular level.
