Ligand-receptor pairs mediating these cell-cell interactions can be identified using diverse experimental and computational approaches. Here, we reconstructed the intercellular interaction network between Mus musculus immune cells using publicly available receptor-ligand interaction databases and gene expression data from the immunological genome project. This reconstructed network accounts for 50,317 unique interactions between 16 cell types between 731 receptor-ligand pairs. Analysis of this network shows that cells of hematopoietic lineages use fewer communication pathways for interacting with each other, while nonhematopoietic stromal </pubmed_abstract><journal>Biotechnology and bioengineering</journal><pubmed_title>Reconstructing the cell-cell interaction network among mouse immune cells.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC10524935</pmcid><funding_grant_id>UH2 AI153029</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>R35 GM119850</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NNF21SA0066621</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Khodarahmi M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zahiri J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Naseri M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lewis NE</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yazdanifar M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Azadian S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Doustmohammadi A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Arab SS</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Reconstructing the cell-cell interaction network among mouse immune cells.</name><description>Intercellular interactions and cell-cell communication are critical to regulating cell functions, especially in normal immune cells and immunotherapies.
