Adult health care workers (<i>n</i> = 451) received a single intradermal application of the BCG vaccine (Tokyo 172 strain) in the deltoid region of the right arm. Follow-up (30 days) calls and clinical inspections were guided using a standardized data sheet to assess local and systemic reactions.
