The obtained catalyst (denoted as Co/Cr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-F-<i>X</i>) exhibits high activity for hydrogen production from ammonia borane (NH<sub>3</sub>BH<sub>3</sub>). The optimal Co/Cr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>-F-0.5 exhibits the highest catalytic performance with the turnover frequency (TOF) value of 111.1 min<sup>-1</sup>.
