In the present study, we investigated the therapeutic potency of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles (MSC-EVs) in the complex anti-tuberculosis treatment (ATT). A rabbit model of renal tuberculosis (rTB) was constructed by injecting of the standard strain Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv into the cortical layer of the kidney parenchyma. Isolated rabbit MSC-EVs were intravenously administered once as an addition to standard ATT (isoniazid, pyrazinamide, and ethambutol). The therapeutic efficacy was assessed by analyzing changes of blood biochemical biomarkers and lev</pubmed_abstract><journal>Scientific reports</journal><pubmed_title>Mesenchymal stem cells-derived extracellular vesicles for therapeutics of renal tuberculosis.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC10894196</pmcid><funding_grant_id>N 121112600145-2)</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>No SPARC/2019-2020/P2420/SL</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>N 121112600145‐2)</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Project No. INT/RUS/RFBR/380</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Oganesyan E</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yablonskiy P</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Muraviov A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sonawane A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Mikhailova N</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ziganshin R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Dyakova M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Vinogradova T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Esmedlyaeva D</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Remezova A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shevtsov M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Bobkov D</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Maslak O</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yudintceva N</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Behl A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Blum N</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Bogdanova E</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sonawane SH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sulatsky M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Garapach I</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shailja Singh</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Kovalchuk S</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Mesenchymal stem cells-derived extracellular vesicles for therapeutics of renal tuberculosis.</name><description>Extrapulmonary tuberculosis with a renal involvement can be a manifestation of a disseminated infection that requires therapeutic intervention, particularly with a decrease in efficacy of conventional regimens.
