The growing use of immunohistochemistry (IHC) has significantly contributed to the detailed cell characterization, thereby playing a crucial role in guiding treatment strategies for DLBCL. In this study, we developed an AI-based image analysis approach for assessing PD-L1 expression in DLBCL patients. PD-L1 expression represents as a major biomarker for screening patients who can benefit from targeted immunotherapy interventions. In particular, we performed large-scale cell annotations in IHC slides, encompassing over 5101 tissue regions and 146,439 live cells. Extensive experiments in primary and validation cohorts demonstrated the defined quantitative rule helped overco</pubmed_abstract><journal>NPJ precision oncology</journal><pagination>76</pagination><full_dataset_link>https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC10973523</full_dataset_link><repository>biostudies-literature</repository><pubmed_title>Artificial intelligence-based assessment of PD-L1 expression in diffuse large B cell lymphoma.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC10973523</pmcid><pubmed_authors>Zhou M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Deng S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Da Q</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang W</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liu Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yi H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Feng M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhu L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lin J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yan F</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Artificial intelligence-based assessment of PD-L1 expression in diffuse large B cell lymphoma.</name><description>Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive blood cancer known for its rapid progression and high incidence.
