Along with minor contributions from the prostate and the epididymis, the majority of seminal fluid is produced by a somewhat understudied organ known as the seminal vesicle. Here, we report the first single-cell RNA-seq atlas of the mouse seminal vesicle, generated using tissues obtained from 23 mice of varying ages, exposed to a range of dietary challenges. We define the transcriptome of the secretory cells in this tissue, identifying a relatively homogeneous population of the epithelial cells which are responsible for producing the majori</pubmed_abstract><journal>bioRxiv : the preprint server for biology</journal><pagination>2024.04.08.588538</pagination><full_dataset_link>https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC11030459</full_dataset_link><repository>biostudies-literature</repository><pubmed_title>A single cell atlas of the mouse seminal vesicle.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC11030459</pmcid><funding_grant_id>R01 AG073238</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Galan C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Rinaldi V</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gladyshev VN</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Garber M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Desevin K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Fu Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yang CH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Parameswaran S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Krietenstein N</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Schjenken JE</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shindyapina AV</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Rando OJ</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yin Q</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sun F</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Manukyan A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Mayall J</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>A single cell atlas of the mouse seminal vesicle.</name><description>During mammalian reproduction, sperm are delivered to the female reproductive tract bathed in a complex medium known as seminal fluid, which plays key roles in signaling to the female reproductive tract and in nourishing sperm for their onwards journey.
