As a by-product of hazelnut, hazel leaf is usually disposed of as waste, but it is widely used in traditional and folk medicines around the world. Aim of this study: Based on previous studies, the effects of the regulation of lipid metabolism and the mechanism of hazel leaf polyphenol extraction obesity were investigated. Methods: In this study, a high-fat diet-fed mouse model of obesity and 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were established. The ameliorative effects of the hazel leaf polyphenol extract on obesity and the regulating lipid metabolisms were explored based on network pharmacology, gut microbiota, and molecular docking. Results:<</pubmed_abstract><journal>Pharmaceuticals (Basel, Switzerland)</journal><pubmed_title>Potential Anti-Obesity Effect of Hazel Leaf Extract in Mice and Network Pharmacology of Selected Polyphenols.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC11510286</pmcid><funding_grant_id>20230204006YY</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Li Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Li J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lv G</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lin H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lin Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Alimu A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhao J</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable>

Background: Obesity is gradually becoming a widespread health problem, and treatment using natural compounds has seen an increasing trend.
