Such procedures encompass biopsies for tumor, diagnostic aspiration and therapeutic drainage of abscesses, hematomas, cysts and fluid collections, therapeutic injections into joints, nerves, and tendons, as well as aspirations of calcium deposits and extraction of foreign bodies.
