These lesions exhibit considerable heterogeneity and diverse clinical outcomes. This study employed single-cell RNA sequencing to investigate tumorigenic characteristics of AIs, including non-functional adrenocortical adenomas, Conn's syndrome, and pheochromocytomas. Through integrating public datasets, 302 696 cells are analyzed. Three adrenocortical cell subtypes exhibit gene expression patterns linked to tumorigenesis. Clusterin emerges as a potential biomarker for adrenocortical adenomas. Adrenocortical tumor cells show dysregulated hormone secretion and transcription factor steroidogenic factor 1 (SF1) is significantly upregulated, distinguishing cortical from medu</pubmed_abstract><journal>Advanced science (Weinheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany)</journal><pubmed_title>Single-Cell Atlas Reveals Tumorigenic Profiles and Immune Dynamics of Adrenal Incidentalomas.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC12165089</pmcid><funding_grant_id>32271165</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>82070868</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>82400980</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>ZDSYS14005</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>22MC1940300</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>242W7712Z</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>82370853</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>SHSMU-ZDCX20210400</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>2023ZD0506800</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Cheng D</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Tian F</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liu L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hu X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yuan L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Li L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sun Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Fang X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Li T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhao R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Qi Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liu B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gong K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zheng G</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chen S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liu F</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Single-Cell Atlas Reveals Tumorigenic Profiles and Immune Dynamics of Adrenal Incidentalomas.</name><description>Adrenal incidentalomas (AIs) are commonly detected endocrine lesions, identified during imaging for unrelated conditions.
