RNF187 is indispensable for the proliferation and migration of GC-1 cells derived from mouse spermatogonia and GC-2 cells derived from spermatocytes. However, it remains unclear whether RNF187 plays a crucial role in the self-renewal and migration of human spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs). In this study, we observed a positive correlation between RNF187 expression and the proliferation and migration of human SSCs. Through co-immunoprecipitation and mass spectrometry analyses, we identified WD repeat-containing protein 77 (WDR77) as an interacting partner of RNF187. Specifically, RNF187 recognises the K118 site of WDR77 through lysine 48-linked polyubiquitination, subsequently</pubmed_abstract><journal>Cell proliferation</journal><pubmed_title>RNF187 Facilitates Proliferation and Migration of Human Spermatogonial Stem Cells Through WDR77 Polyubiquitination.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC12508693</pmcid><funding_grant_id>BK20221376</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>32470899</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>82471641</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>82201762</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>82271633</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Xi X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Guo Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhou T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yu J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hu H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Huang X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Jiang B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zheng B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wu T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chen X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wu Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gao T</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>RNF187 Facilitates Proliferation and Migration of Human Spermatogonial Stem Cells Through WDR77 Polyubiquitination.</name><description>The E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF187, also known as RING domain AP1 coactivator-1, is a member of the RING finger family.
