Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain DYY-L-2&lt;sup>T&lt;/sup> belonged to the genus Paenibacillus, with the highest similarity to Paenibacillus konsidensis LBY&lt;sup>T&lt;/sup> (98.6%), followed by Paenibacillus vini LAM0504&lt;sup>T&lt;/sup> (97.2%). Whole-genome sequencing yielded a complete circular chromosome of 5,642,305 bp with a genomic DNA G + C content of 50.8%.
