A total of 32,569 Taiwanese adults without viral hepatitis or significant alcohol consumption who underwent health checkups from 1999 to 2013 were analyzed cross-sectionally. Among them, 27,109 individuals free of HTN and DM at baseline and within 1 year of enrollment were followed longitudinally. Participants were classified into four groups based on hepatic steatosis assessed by ultrasound and presence of CMRF: healthy control (non-SLD/CMRF-), simple SLD (SLD/CM</pubmed_abstract><journal>The Kaohsiung journal of medical sciences</journal><pubmed_title>Dynamics of Cardiometabolic Risk Factors Are Linked to the Risk of Hypertension and Diabetes in MASLD.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC12694567</pmcid><funding_grant_id>KMHK-DK(C)111004</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NYCUKMU‐111‐I00</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MOHW112-TDU-B-221-124007</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NYCUKMU‐111‐I004</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MHK-DK(C)111006</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NSTC 112‐2321‐B‐001‐006</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NYCUKMU-111-I00</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>KMHK‐DK(C)111004</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>KMU-TC114A08</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NYCUKMU-111-I004</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MOHW112‐TDU‐B‐221‐124007</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NSTC 112-2321-B-001-006</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MHK‐DK(C)111006</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Wei YJ</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Tsai PC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shih PT</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shih CI</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hsieh MY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Huang CF</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ho CK</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chen YY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Cheng YY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang CW</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chang WT</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lin YH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wu KT</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chuang WL</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yang JF</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wong VW</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hsieh MH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yu ML</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Dai CY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yeh ML</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liang PC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Huang JF</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Dynamics of Cardiometabolic Risk Factors Are Linked to the Risk of Hypertension and Diabetes in MASLD.</name><description>This study investigates the impact of cardiometabolic risk factors (CMRF) on the prevalence and incidence of hypertension (HTN) and diabetes mellitus (DM) in individuals with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and nonsteatotic liver disease (non-SLD), using both cross-sectional and longitudinal data.
