All participants underwent MRI and cognitive assessments. MRI measures, including the PVS burden and the ALPS index, were compared across SCD, MCI, and CU groups. Additionally, correlations among the ALPS index, PVS burden, and cognitive scales were analyzed.
Result</pubmed_abstract><journal>The journal of prevention of Alzheimer's disease</journal><pubmed_title>Association between MRI indicators of the glymphatic system and cognition in high-risk populations for Alzheimer's disease.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC12934294</pmcid><funding_grant_id>BK20241120</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>LC2024001</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>BE2023778</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>82401788</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>2023YFC3603605</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Jiang L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Qi M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhu Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wu SX</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gao JW</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Tian S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhu QQ</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang W</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang L</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable>

Background
Using the Diffusion Tensor Image Analysis Along the Perivascular Space (ALPS) method and perivascular space (PVS) burden to study glymphatic function in high-risk Alzheimer's disease (AD) populations, this research investigates the correlation between ALPS index and PVS volume with cognitive function respectively.
Methods
This study enrolled 126 participants, including 21 cognitively unimpaired (CU) individuals, 68 with subjective cognitive decline (SCD), and 37 with mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
