This strain, whose genome is described here, was isolated from the fecal flora of a healthy Senegalese patient. E. massiliensis is an aerobic rod. Here we describe the features of this organism, together with the complete genome sequence and annotation. The 4,922,247 bp long genome (1 chromosome but no plasmid) exhibits a G+C content of 55.1% and contains 4,644 protein-coding and 80 RNA genes, including 5 rRNA genes.</pubmed_abstract><journal>Standards in genomic sciences</journal><pagination>399-412</pagination><full_dataset_link>https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC3764934</full_dataset_link><repository>biostudies-literature</repository><pubmed_title>Non contiguous-finished genome sequence and description of Enterobacter massiliensis sp. nov.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC3764934</pmcid><pubmed_authors>Lagier JC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Mishra AK</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Robert C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>El Karkouri K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Raoult D</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Fournier PE</pubmed_authors><view_count>48</view_count></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Non contiguous-finished genome sequence and description of Enterobacter massiliensis sp. nov.</name><description>Enterobacter massiliensis strain JC163(T) sp. nov. is the type strain of E. massiliensis sp. nov., a new species within the genus Enterobacter.
