METHODS:This study involved 23 children receiving surgery for inguinal hernia, hydrocele, and cord cyst. This was a prospective study performed between April 2016 and June 2016 in a medical faculty pediatric surgery unit. The color Doppler ultrasound (CDUS) was used to assess testicular volume and blood flow before and after a modified Ferguson technique surgery. The pre- and post operative testicular volume and blood flow were compared with the contralateral testes. SPSS software was used to statistically analyze the data arising; the Mann-Whitney U test and Friedman test were used to compare samples, and P&lt;0.05 was accepted as statistically significa</pubmed_abstract><journal>Pakistan journal of medical sciences</journal><pagination>363-368</pagination><full_dataset_link>https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC5432705</full_dataset_link><repository>biostudies-literature</repository><pubmed_title>A comparison of preoperative and postoperative testicular volume and blood flow in patients with inguinal hernia, hydrocele, and cord cyst: A prospective cohort study.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC5432705</pmcid><pubmed_authors>Acar MB</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Tuncer AA</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Peker T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Cetinkursun S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Embleton DB</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>A comparison of preoperative and postoperative testicular volume and blood flow in patients with inguinal hernia, hydrocele, and cord cyst: A prospective cohort study.</name><description>OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of inguinal operations performed with a modified Ferguson technique upon testicular volume and blood flow.
