Previously, we introduced the NeuroX Illumina genotyping array, a fast and efficient genotyping platform designed for the investigation of genetic variation in neurodegenerative diseases. Here, we present its updated version, named NeuroChip. The NeuroChip is a low-cost, custom-designed array containing a tagging variant backbone of about 306,670 variants complemented with a manually curated custom content comprised of 179,467 variants implicated in diverse neurological diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Lewy body dementia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, frontotemporal dementia, progressive supranuclear palsy,</pubmed_abstract><journal>Neurobiology of aging</journal><pubmed_title>NeuroChip, an updated version of the NeuroX genotyping platform to rapidly screen for variants associated with neurological diseases.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC5534378</pmcid><funding_grant_id>Z99 NS999999</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NF-SI-0515-10082</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Z01 AG000949</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MR/L501554/1</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MR/K01417X/1</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MGU0364</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>G0300429</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>G-1107</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>G0802462</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MR/N008324/1</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>G0700943</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>8047</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Z01-AG000949-02</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NF-SI-0507-10376</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>16GRO-PS36-0055</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MC_PC_09003</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>K-1501</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>ACF-2012-17-017</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MR/L023784/2</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>G1100643</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MR/L023784/1</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>1U54GM114838</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>ZIA NS003154</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NF-SI-0513-10064</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>J-0804</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Z01 ES101986</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>1ZIANS003154</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Z01-ES101986</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Robak L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Pihlstrom L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Geiger JT</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Williams J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Campbell RH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ryten M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hernandez DG</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Murphy NA</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gasser T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lesage S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Guerreiro R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Blauwendraat C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>International Parkinson's Disease Genomics Consortium (IPDGC), COURAGE-PD Consortium</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wood NW</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sims R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chung SJ</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Bras J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Faghri F</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hardy JA</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lubbe S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>May P</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Nicolas A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gibbs JR</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Houlden H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Rogaeva E</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ferrari R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Singleton AB</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Brice A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shulman JM</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Heutink P</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Simon-Sanchez J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sharma M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chia R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Traynor BJ</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Abramzon Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Corvol JC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Mok KY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Kruger R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Elbaz A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Morris HR</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Nalls MA</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Scholz SW</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>NeuroChip, an updated version of the NeuroX genotyping platform to rapidly screen for variants associated with neurological diseases.</name><description>Genetics has proven to be a powerful approach in neurodegenerative diseases research, resulting in the identification of numerous causal and risk variants.
