'Progressors' were defined as those experiencing a 5-unit and 25% increase in mRSS score over 12 months (±3 months). Logistic models were fitted to predict progression and, using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, were compared on the basis of the area under curve (AUC), accuracy and positive predictive value (PPV).
Resul"],"journal":["Annals of the rheumatic diseases"],"pagination":["563-570"],"full_dataset_link":["https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC5890636"],"repository":["biostudies-literature"],"pubmed_title":["Patterns and predictors of skin score change in early diffuse systemic sclerosis from the European Scleroderma Observational Study."],"pmcid":["PMC5890636"],"pubmed_authors":["Ong VH","Buch MH","Proudman SM","Carreira PE","Farge D","Balbir-Gurman A","Fligelstone K","Moinzadeh P","Distler O","Brown E","Hall FC","Sheeran T","McLaren JS","Sahhar J","van Laar JM","Vonk MC","Mouthon L","Jobanputra P","Matucci-Cerinic M","Midtvedt O","Herrick AL","Riemekasten G","Trad GS","Denton CP","Ahmad Y","Inanc M","Distler JHW","Hamilton J","Stevens W","Becker M","Chakravarty K","Serratrice C","Coppere B","Lanyon P","Grange C","Lunt M","Gunawardena H","MacGregor AJ","Anderson ME","Madhok R","Gregory WJ","Hachulla E","Silman AJ","Akil M","Muller-Ladner U","Peytrignet S","Hesselstrand R","Pan X","Jordan AC","Damjanov NS","Dinsdale G","Chung L","Pathare S","Diot E","Czirjak L","Hudson M","McHugh N","Agard C","Ochiel R","Veale DJ","Fauchais AL","Ancuta C","Jacobsen S","Roddy J","Rudin A"],"additional_accession":[]},"is_claimable":false,"name":"Patterns and predictors of skin score change in early diffuse systemic sclerosis from the European Scleroderma Observational Study.","description":"
Objectives
Our aim was to use the opportunity provided by the European Scleroderma Observational Study to (1) identify and describe those patients with early diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis (dcSSc) with progressive skin thickness, and (2) derive prediction models for progression over 12 months, to inform future randomised controlled trials (RCTs).
Methods
The modified Rodnan skin score (mRSS) was recorded every 3 months in 326 patients.
