Previous studies have found that repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) targeting the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) (key region of executive network) had limited responses, while inhibiting hyperactivation of ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC) (key region of limbic network) may be another strategy.
