The protective effect of aspirin (20 mg/kg/d, i.p.) on denervated muscle atrophy was analyzed using the wet weight ratio of tibialis anterior (TA) muscle and muscle fiber cross-sectional area (CSA). The levels of inflammatory factors were detected using quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. </pubmed_abstract><journal>Annals of translational medicine</journal><pagination>1524</pagination><full_dataset_link>https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC7729378</full_dataset_link><repository>biostudies-literature</repository><pubmed_title>Aspirin alleviates denervation-induced muscle atrophy via regulating the Sirt1/PGC-1α axis and STAT3 signaling.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC7729378</pmcid><pubmed_authors>Yang X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wan Q</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhu J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Huang Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Law BY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gu J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhang L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Xu H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shen Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sun H</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Aspirin alleviates denervation-induced muscle atrophy via regulating the Sirt1/PGC-1α axis and STAT3 signaling.</name><description>&lt;h4>Background&lt;/h4>Our prior studies have shown that inflammation may play an important triggering role during the process of denervated muscle atrophy.
