The development of devices to simplify airway handling are changing our approach to tracheal intubation. We report a case series of three patients who underwent awake tracheal intubation with the ProVu™ video stylet (Flexicare Medical Ltd, Mountain Ash, UK). All three patients had predicted difficult airways, including: limited mouth opening secondary to radiotherapy; previous exenteration, hemi-maxillectomy and scapular free flap formation; and cervical fixation. Awake tracheal intubation was performed successfully in all three cases, with no complications reported. This is the first reported case series of the ProVu™ video stylet as an awake tracheal intubation device. The benefits and limitations of this video stylet are discussed.</pubmed_abstract><journal>Anaesthesia reports</journal><pagination>e12102</pagination><full_dataset_link>https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC8006091</full_dataset_link><repository>biostudies-literature</repository><pubmed_title>Awake tracheal intubation with the ProVu™ video stylet: a case series.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC8006091</pmcid><pubmed_authors>Dua G</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Harrison SL</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ahmad I</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Elwen F</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Curtis A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Surda P</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Johnstone C</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Awake tracheal intubation with the ProVu™ video stylet: a case series.</name><description>Management of the difficult airway is integral to peri-operative practice.
