The KIEMS was designed to provide comprehensive information, including subjective and objective findings of intermittent exotropia in a large study population. A total of 65 strabismus specialists in 53 institutions contributed to this study, which, to date, is one of the largest clinical studies on intermittent exotropia. In this article, we provide a detailed methodology of the KIEMS to help future investigations that may use the KIEMS data.</pubmed_abstract><journal>Korean journal of ophthalmology : KJO</journal><pagination>355-359</pagination><full_dataset_link>https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC8521330</full_dataset_link><repository>biostudies-literature</repository><pubmed_title>An Overview of the Korean Intermittent Exotropia Multicenter Study by the Korean Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC8521330</pmcid><pubmed_authors>Kim DH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Baek SH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Choi DG</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lee SY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lim HW</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lim HT</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Choi HY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lim KH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ryu WY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yang HK</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lee DC</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>An Overview of the Korean Intermittent Exotropia Multicenter Study by the Korean Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.</name><description>The Korean Intermittent Exotropia Multicenter Study (KIEMS), which was initiated by the Korean Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, is a collaborative multicenter study on intermittent exotropia in Korea.
