Benefiting from excellent conductivity and a large surface area, 2D NiPc-MOF nanosheets present excellent electrocatalytic activity for nitrite sensing, with an ultra-wide linear concentration from 0.01 mM to 11 500 mM and a low detection limit of 2.3 μM, better than most reported electrochemical nitrite sensors. Significantly, this work reports the synthesis of 2D conductive NiPc-MOFs and develops them as electrochemical biosensors for non-enzymatic nitrite determination for the first time.</pubmed_abstract><journal>RSC advances</journal><pubmed_title>Two-dimensional conductive phthalocyanine-based metal-organic frameworks for electrochemical nitrite sensing.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC8694451</pmcid><funding_grant_id>SD00H618-16</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>OIA-1849206</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>SD00R680-19 NC1194</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Qi X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lu S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Jia H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gu Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hummel M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wu Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang K</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Two-dimensional conductive phthalocyanine-based metal-organic frameworks for electrochemical nitrite sensing.</name><description>2D nickel phthalocyanine based MOFs (NiPc-MOFs) with excellent conductivity were synthesized through a solvothermal approach.
