The expression of BMP4 is reduced in the adipose and enhanced in the myocardium and vascular during obesity. It is possibly involved in the process of inflammatory response of the myocardium and vascular. Obesity, often regarded as a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, is a kind of inflammatory response. This study aimed to investigate the relationship of BMP4 with obesity and cardiovascular disease. Ob/ob mice were used as the experimental group, and C57BL/6 mice were used as the control group.
