We aimed to describe the spectrum of neurological disease in hospitalised COVID-19 patients; characterise clinical outcomes; and investigate factors associated with a poor outcome.<h4>Methods</h4>We conducted an individual patient data (IPD) meta-analysis of hospitalised patients with neurological COVID-19 disease, using standard case definitions. We invited authors of studies from the first pandemic wave, plus clinicians in the Global COVID-Neuro Network with unpublished data, to contribute. We analysed features associated with poor outcome (moderate to severe disability or death, 3 to 6 on the modified Rankin Scale) "],"journal":["PloS one"],"pubmed_title":["Prognostic indicators and outcomes of hospitalised COVID-19 patients with neurological disease: An individual patient data meta-analysis."],"pmcid":["PMC9162376"],"funding_grant_id":["MR/V033441/1","NIHR200907","ACF-2020-07-003","734584","17/63/11","17/63/110"],"pubmed_authors":["D'Anna L","Paterson R","Abdelnour LH","Garcia Garcia S","Hey S","Ravaglia S","Hassell J","Cividini S","Azab MA","Heyse A","Brito Ferreira ML","Nicholson TR","Rocha Ferreira Da Silva I","Chandratheva A","Cavallieri F","Foschi M","Patrick KN","Jain R","Cabreira V","Uginet M","Defres S","Gunasekaran K","Poxon J","Banks T","Soothill G","Du Pasquier R","Sarmati L","Fernandez Diaz E","Solomon T","Padovani A","Biagio Mercuri N","Morrison H","Dervisevic S","Escalard S","Corvol JC","Dhar S","Giunta M","Martinez-Poles J","Morales-Casado MI","Nalleballe K","Fajardo Modol A","Servidei S","Davies E","Kaya Y","Sargent BF","Tattevin P","Rice C","Bernard-Valnet R","Mariotto S","Farooq H","Hodel EM","Cattrall JWS","Beretta S","Lopez EC","Santoro J","Chinthapalli K","Younas K","Sejvar JJ","Kaimovsky I","Brain Infections Global COVID-Neuro Network Study Group","Liguori C","Nortley R","Abd-Allah F","SeyedAlinaghi S","Mason R","Huda S","Cohen M","Webb G","Valdoleiros SR","Singh B","Nancupil Reyes W","Kim CY","Hornuss D","Lahiri D","Garazzino S","Guekht A","Meza R","Guijarro-Castro C","Mhlanga S","Primiano G","Coen M","Benger M","Kassahun D","Lipunga G","Calabresi P","Scullen T","Beach S","Rabas S","Contini E","Matos AMB","Klok FA","Somasundaran A","Pilotto A","Elicer I","Harte J","Werring DJ","Winkler AS","Zedde M","Cysique L","Boso F","Alkeridy W","Minton T","Wagner D","Enright N","Libri I","Thakur KT","Mond G","Kahn L","Tudur Smith C","Pinto A","Costache O","Lant S","Lingor P","Jillella D","Khawaja A","Elkady A","Babu H","Delorme C","Hosp J","Harkness K","van Pesch V","Bigaut K","Rieg S","Knier B","Soares CN","Breville G","Pincherle A","Diezma-Martin AM","Brew B","Raith E","Tamborska A","Eugenin-von Bernhardi L","Rawlinson R","JamaliMoghadamSiahkali S","Moein ST","Barrios-Lopez JM","Koh J","Benjamin L","Lechien J","Maggi P","Umapathi T","Karthikappallil D","Yin R","Lorenz N","Al Sami Y","Oliveira V","Morassi M","Yenkoyan K","Michael BD","Pierantozzi M","Saussez S","Zhang X","Beltran-Corbellini A","Sztriha L","Joseph A","Sharifi-Razavi A","Goodwin LC"],"additional_accession":[]},"is_claimable":false,"name":"Prognostic indicators and outcomes of hospitalised COVID-19 patients with neurological disease: An individual patient data meta-analysis.","description":"<h4>Background</h4>Neurological COVID-19 disease has been reported widely, but published studies often lack information on neurological outcomes and prognostic risk factors.
