We previously built and validated the COVID-19 Risk in Oncology Evaluation Tool (CORONET) to predict the likely severity of COVID-19 in patients with active cancer who present to hospital. We assessed the differences in presentation and outcomes of patients with cancer and COVID-19, depending on the wave of the pandemic. We examined differences in features at presentation and outcomes in patients worldwide, depending on the waves of the pandemic: wave 1 D614G (n = 1430), wave 2 Alpha (n = 475), and wave 4 Omicron variant (n = 63, UK and Spain only). The performance of CORONET was evaluated on 258, 48, and 54 patients for each wave, respectively. We found that mortality rates were reduced in subsequent waves. </pubmed_abstract><journal>Cancers</journal><pubmed_title>An International Comparison of Presentation, Outcomes and CORONET Predictive Score Performance in Patients with Cancer Presenting with COVID-19 across Different Pandemic Waves.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC9406013</pmcid><funding_grant_id>C5757/A27412</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>ACF-2019-04-005</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>S_3800</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>C5759/A25254</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>CL-2018-06-001</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>29569</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MR/N025989/1</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>205228/Z/16/Z</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NIHR202438</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>29374</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>75-15-2020-926</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>CL-2013-07-005</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NIHR200907</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>CL-2020-06-003</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>C18616/A25153</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>CL-2018-11-002</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>1049751</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Castelo-Branco L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Frederiksen H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lee RJ</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Mosenthal AC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Dani SS</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Bhogal T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Dickens E</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hague C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Jakobsen LH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Cooksley T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Aung T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Croitoru A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Peters S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sheehan R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Baxter M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Joharatnam-Hogan N</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Patel R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Rowe M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Britton F</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Foulon S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hoskins R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sekacheva M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Armstrong AC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Barlesi F</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Albiges L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Angelakas A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Landers D</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Romano E</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Boyce H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Weaver J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Tivey A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Turtle L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Graham DM</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lewis A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>McKenzie H</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Freitas A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Copson E</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Williams S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Massard C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Dive C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Thomas A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gomes F</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Vinal D</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Fitzpatrick P</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Rogado J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ganatra S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Palmieri C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Rieger-Christ K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>On Behalf Of The Esmo Co-Care</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Pentheroudakis G</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Calles A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhou C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Arnold D</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Harrison M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Besse B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Harrington K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Stockdale A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Eastlake L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Khan UT</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Horsley L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Michielin O</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Bayle A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Obispo B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shotton R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Robinson T</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Huddar P</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Hudson Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Banfill K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Maynard A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wilson C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gennatas S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Khan K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wysocki O</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Glenthoj A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Khan S</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>An International Comparison of Presentation, Outcomes and CORONET Predictive Score Performance in Patients with Cancer Presenting with COVID-19 across Different Pandemic Waves.</name><description>Patients with cancer have been shown to have increased risk of COVID-19 severity.
