A higher affinity abrin aptamer based on the established QSAR model was screened by site-directed mutagenesis. The fluorescence quenching effect between magnetic microspheres and fluorescent molecules was studied for the first time. A new method for abrin detection based on the interaction between target molecules and fluorescently labeled aptamers on magnetic microspheres was developed, with the detection limit of 5 ng mL&lt;sup>-1&lt;/sup>. This method can overcome the influence of complex environmental interferents in abrin detection and can meet the analysis requirements for simulated samples such as water, soil, and food.</pubmed_abstract><journal>Materials (Basel, Switzerland)</journal><pubmed_title>A New Method for Abrin Detection Based on the Interaction between Target Molecules and Fluorescently Labeled Aptamers on Magnetic Microspheres.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC9573059</pmcid><funding_grant_id>SKLNBC2020-07</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>SKLNBC2020-02</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Liu Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Du B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Mu X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Tong Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liu B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liu S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Feng S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang J</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wu Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Xu J</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>A New Method for Abrin Detection Based on the Interaction between Target Molecules and Fluorescently Labeled Aptamers on Magnetic Microspheres.</name><description>A quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) model for the structure and affinity of abrin aptamers was established.
