However, there is limited data available regarding the prognostic value of peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets in ENKTL patients. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of lymphocyte subsets, especially the ACD4C in ENKTL as a clinical biomarker.<h4>Methods</h4>We analyzed the clinical data of 176 patients who met the inclusion criteria in Cancer Center of Integrated Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medi</pubmed_abstract><journal>Annals of translational medicine</journal><pagination>1119</pagination><full_dataset_link>https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biostudies/studies/S-EPMC9652555</full_dataset_link><repository>biostudies-literature</repository><pubmed_title>Low absolute CD4+ T cell counts in peripheral blood: an independent predictor of inferior survival in natural killer/T-cell lymphoma-a retrospective cohort study.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC9652555</pmcid><pubmed_authors>Zeng R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Xia Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Jiang L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Bai B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Alpdogan O</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Li P</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Dalia S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Janetos TM</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shikama N</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhu L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Gao Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhu X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhu W</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang X</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable>
Low absolute CD4+ T cell counts in peripheral blood: an independent predictor of inferior survival in natural killer/T-cell lymphoma-a retrospective cohort study.

<h4>Background</h4>Lymphopenia at diagnosis is considered a negative prognostic factor for patients with extra-nodal natural killer (NK)/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL), especially that of the absolute cluster of differentiation 4+ T cell count (ACD4C), which has previously been identified as an independent prognostic factor in other hematologic malignancies.
