However, the underlying mechanism(s) of obesity-driven EEC remain(s) unclear. In this study, we examined whether LIF signaling plays a role in the obesity-driven progression of EEC. RNA-seq analysis of EEC cells stimulated by adipose conditioned medium (ADP-CM) showed upregulation of LIF/LIFR-mediated signaling pathways including JAK/STAT and interleukin pathways. Immunohistochemistry analysis of normal and EEC tissues collected from obese patients revealed that LIF expression is upregulated in EEC tissues compared to the normal endometrium. Treatment of both primary and established EEC cells with ADP-CM increased the expression of LIF and its receptor</pubmed_abstract><journal>Cancers</journal><pubmed_title>Inhibition of LIFR Blocks Adiposity-Driven Endometrioid Endometrial Cancer Growth.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC9657203</pmcid><funding_grant_id>170722-44096</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>IRG-21-147-01-IRG</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>NIH-NCI P30 CA054174</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>R50 CA265339</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>RP170345</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>P30 CA054174</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>S10 OD021805</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>1S10OD021805-01</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>R01 CA267893</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>170711-44096</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>RP160732</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>R01CA267893</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>132931-RSG-18-187-01-TBG</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Konda S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sareddy GR</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zheng S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Vadlamudi RK</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Tekmal RR</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Kost ER</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Viswanadhapalli S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yang X</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ramasamy K</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liu Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lai Z</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Blankenship L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Pratap UP</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Nair HB</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Altwegg KA</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chen Y</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Santhamma B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Valente PT</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Inhibition of LIFR Blocks Adiposity-Driven Endometrioid Endometrial Cancer Growth.</name><description>Endometrial cancer (EC) is the fourth most common cancer in women, and half of the endometrioid EC (EEC) cases are attributable to obesity.
