Baseline chest CT and CT after two cycles of induction chemotherapy were analysed. A multivariate Cox proportional-hazard regression model was used to identify independent prognostic markers for survival analysis. Then, a CT scoring system was established. Time-dependent receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis and the Kaplan-Meier method were employed for analysing the prognostic value of the CT scoring system</pubmed_abstract><journal>European radiology</journal><pubmed_title>Quantitative CT evaluation after two cycles of induction chemotherapy to predict prognosis of patients with locally advanced oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma before undergoing definitive chemoradiotherapy/radiotherapy.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC9755097</pmcid><funding_grant_id>Grant Nos. 91959116 and 81971584</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Grant No. ZYLX201803</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Grant No. PX2020046</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Grant No. Z200015</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>Grant No. 20191103</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Li XT</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wei YY</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shi YJ</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Shen L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lu ZH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Zhao B</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yan S</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Liu C</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Sun YS</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable>

Objective
To investigate the performance of quantitative CT analysis in predicting the prognosis of patients with locally advanced oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) after two cycles of induction chemotherapy before definitive chemoradiotherapy/radiotherapy.
Methods
A total of 110 patients with locally advanced ESCC were retrospectively analysed.
