Patients treated with concomitant β-lactam combinations were excluded. The primary outcome was in-hospital mortality. Outcomes were analyzed using multivariable logistic regression and augmented inverse probability weighting (AIPW) analyses.<h4</pubmed_abstract><journal>Infectious diseases and therapy</journal><pubmed_title>The Combination of Daptomycin with Fosfomycin is More Effective than Daptomycin Alone in Reducing Mortality of Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcal Bloodstream Infections: A Retrospective, Comparative Cohort Study.</pubmed_title><pmcid>PMC9925660</pmcid><funding_grant_id>NTUH. 110-S4901</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>111-2314-B-002-209</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>110-2326-B-002-003-MY3</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>110-2628-B-002-059</funding_grant_id><funding_grant_id>MOHW111-TDU-B-211-134002</funding_grant_id><pubmed_authors>Chang SC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Tseng TC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Wang JT</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chen YC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Huang SH</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Chuang YC</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Yang JL</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Lin CY</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable>

<h4>Introduction</h4>High-dose daptomycin-based combinations are recommended for vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) bloodstream infection (BSI).
