Bone marrow samples were collected during medicolegal autopsies within varying postmortem intervals (PMI). Histological preparations were examined microscopically to evaluate cytoplasmic changes over time. The aim was to investigate whether bone marrow cellular morphology could serve as a reliable marker for estimating the PMI.
