In a previously published experiment of inducible knock-down of histone H1 isoforms with an shRNA-expression lentivector (GSE12299), we modified the breast cancer cell line T47D with different vectors. Here, we explored response to progestin R5020 of control cells generated with the empty shRNA-expression vector. Stable breast cancer-derived cell lines containing the empty vector for inducible shRNA expression were grown for two days in the absence of serum. Progestin R5020 or vehicle was added for 6 hours, in duplicate, and RNA was extracted for microarray hybridization.
<repository>biostudies-other</repository><experiment_type>transcription profiling by array</experiment_type><data_source>EurocanPlatform</data_source><omics_type>Unknown</omics_type><volume>442</volume><journal>The Biochemical journal</journal><species>Homo sapiens</species><pubmed_authors>Novellasdemunt L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Millán-Ariño L</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Navarro-Sabate A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Jordan A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Bartrons R</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Obach M</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Ventura F</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Manzano A</pubmed_authors><pubmed_authors>Rosa JL</pubmed_authors></additional><is_claimable>false</is_claimable><name>Gene expression in response to progestin R5020</name><description>Breast cancer cell lines containing the progesterone receptor respond to progestins, altering expression of a subset of genes.
