In the project we\nwill perform genome / exome sequencing of a selection of breast cancer\npatients (n=30). These patients are drawn from a cohort where all\npatients have recieved treatment with epirubicin monotherapy before surgical removal of a\nlocally advanced breast tumour, and where all patients have been\nsubjected to objective evaluation of the response to the\ntherapy. Subsequent to sequencing, we will analyse the data and\ncompare with the clinical data for each patient (object response to\ntherapy). The main aim being to identify mutations that are associated\nwith resistance to epirubicin. Identification of mutations with strong\npredictive value, may have a direct impact on cancer treatment since\nit opens the possibility for genetic testing of a tumour, and desicion\non which drug is likely to work best, prior to treatment start.","dates":{"updated":"2017-07-26 15:39:24"},"accession":"EGAD00001000264","cross_references":{"TAXONOMY":["9606"],"EGA":["EGAC00001000000","EGAS00001000276"]}}
