These patients are drawn from a cohort where all patients have recieved\ntreatment with epirubicin monotherapy before surgical removal of a locally advanced breast\ntumour, and where all patients have been subjected to objective evaluation of the response to\nthe therapy.\nSubsequent to sequencing, we will analyse the data and compare with the clinical data for\neach patient (object response to therapy). The main aim being to identify mutations that are\nassociated with resistance to epirubicin.\nIdentification of mutations with strong predictive value, may have a direct impact on cancer\ntreatment since it opens the possibility for genetic testing of a tumour, and desicion on which\ndrug is likely to work best, prior to treatment start.","dates":{"updated":"2017-07-26 15:39:24"},"accession":"EGAS00001000276","cross_references":{"TAXONOMY":["9606"],"EGA":["EGAD00001000264","EGAC00001000000"]}}
