Of the twenty RGS, Rgs14 single-nucleotide polymorphism is associated with inflammatory bowel disease. This manuscript describes a novel conditional mouse line that allows deletion of Rgs14 in defined cell lines. We show that deletion of Rgs14 in macrophages affects macrophage function and aggravates colitis severity.
