Blood transcriptomes from 33 individuals (19 males and 14 females) across four developmental stages—Fawn, Sub-adult, Adult, and Old—were sequenced to capture dynamic molecular changes. Our findings highlight distinct metabolic patterns between sexes: males exhibit elevated ion metabolism during infancy, while females show a metabolic peak post-adulthood, with enhanced fat metabolism during infancy. Time-series and regulatory network analyses indicate that the downregulation of stress-resistance genes such as FOXO is a key molecular driver of aging in this species. This dataset provides valuable insights into the physiological aging processes and sex-specific adaptations of Père David's Deer, contributing essential molecular information for its conservation.</description><dates><publication>2026/05/20</publication></dates><accession>GSE303008</accession><cross_references><GSM>GSM9115562</GSM><GSM>GSM9115563</GSM><GSM>GSM9115564</GSM><GSM>GSM9115565</GSM><GSM>GSM9115580</GSM><GSM>GSM9115560</GSM><GSM>GSM9115561</GSM><GSM>GSM9115548</GSM><GSM>GSM9115549</GSM><GSM>GSM9115566</GSM><GSM>GSM9115567</GSM><GSM>GSM9115568</GSM><GSM>GSM9115569</GSM><GSM>GSM9115573</GSM><GSM>GSM9115551</GSM><GSM>GSM9115574</GSM><GSM>GSM9115552</GSM><GSM>GSM9115553</GSM><GSM>GSM9115575</GSM><GSM>GSM9115576</GSM><GSM>GSM9115554</GSM><GSM>GSM9115570</GSM><GSM>GSM9115571</GSM><GSM>GSM9115550</GSM><GSM>GSM9115572</GSM><GSM>GSM9115559</GSM><GSM>GSM9115555</GSM><GSM>GSM9115577</GSM><GSM>GSM9115578</GSM><GSM>GSM9115556</GSM><GSM>GSM9115579</GSM><GSM>GSM9115557</GSM><GSM>GSM9115558</GSM><GPL>36044</GPL><GSE>303008</GSE><taxon>Elaphurus davidianus</taxon></cross_references></HashMap>
