We combined cryogenic electron microscopy with chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP-CryoEM) to determine the structures of human CENP-A nucleosomes isolated directly from cells. Sequencing analysis of the CENP-A nucleosome samples revealed that, upon CENP-A overexpression, CENP-A nucleosomes are enriched on centromeric α-satellite DNA and are also ectopically distributed along chromosome arms.</description><dates><publication>2026/08/28</publication></dates><accession>GSE315822</accession><cross_references><GSM>GSM9437933</GSM><GSM>GSM9437934</GSM><GPL>22790</GPL><GPL>24676</GPL><GSE>315822</GSE><taxon>Homo sapiens</taxon></cross_references></HashMap>
