However, approaches linking smoking-driven epigenetic effects in specific immune cell types with disease risk are limited. We isolated six leukocyte subtypes, CD14+ monocytes, CD15+ granulocytes, CD19+ B cells, CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, and CD56+ natural killer cells, from whole blood of healthy adult smokers and nonsmokers for epigenome-wide association study (EWAS).</description><dates><publication>2026/07/30</publication></dates><accession>GSE318669</accession><cross_references><GSM>GSM9500257</GSM><GSM>GSM9500256</GSM><GSM>GSM9500255</GSM><GSM>GSM9500254</GSM><GSM>GSM9500253</GSM><GSM>GSM9500252</GSM><GSM>GSM9500251</GSM><GSM>GSM9500250</GSM><GSM>GSM9500259</GSM><GSM>GSM9500258</GSM><GSM>GSM9500291</GSM><GSM>GSM9500290</GSM><GSM>GSM9500246</GSM><GSM>GSM9500289</GSM><GSM>GSM9500245</GSM><GSM>GSM9500244</GSM><GSM>GSM9500288</GSM><GSM>GSM9500287</GSM><GSM>GSM9500243</GSM><GSM>GSM9500242</GSM><GSM>GSM9500286</GSM><GSM>GSM9500241</GSM><GSM>GSM9500285</GSM><GSM>GSM9500284</GSM><GSM>GSM9500240</GSM><GSM>GSM9500283</GSM><GSM>GSM9500249</GSM><GSM>GSM9500248</GSM><GSM>GSM9500247</GSM><GSM>GSM9500282</GSM><GSM>GSM9500281</GSM><GSM>GSM9500280</GSM><GSM>GSM9500279</GSM><GSM>GSM9500278</GSM><GSM>GSM9500277</GSM><GSM>GSM9500276</GSM><GSM>GSM9500275</GSM><GSM>GSM9500274</GSM><GSM>GSM9500273</GSM><GSM>GSM9500272</GSM><GSM>GSM9500239</GSM><GSM>GSM9500238</GSM><GSM>GSM9500271</GSM><GSM>GSM9500270</GSM><GSM>GSM9500268</GSM><GSM>GSM9500267</GSM><GSM>GSM9500266</GSM><GSM>GSM9500265</GSM><GSM>GSM9500264</GSM><GSM>GSM9500263</GSM><GSM>GSM9500262</GSM><GSM>GSM9500261</GSM><GSM>GSM9500269</GSM><GSM>GSM9500260</GSM><GPL>13534</GPL><GSE>318669</GSE><taxon>Homo sapiens</taxon><PMID>[42380929]</PMID></cross_references></HashMap>
