Here, we investigate the activity of the major FA species present in the skin against Streptococcus pyogenes (group A Streptococcus; GAS), a major cause of skin infections such as impetigo, erysipelas, cellulitis, and necrotizing fasciitis. Several relevant FAs had antimicrobial activity against GAS and induced differential regulation of GAS virulence factors.</description><dates><publication>2026/08/25</publication></dates><accession>GSE324382</accession><cross_references><GSM>GSM9574725</GSM><GSM>GSM9574726</GSM><GSM>GSM9574727</GSM><GSM>GSM9574728</GSM><GPL>19982</GPL><GSE>324382</GSE><taxon>Streptococcus pyogenes</taxon></cross_references></HashMap>
