Droplet-based scRNA-seq (10x Genomics Chromium) profiling across multiple passages identified seven transcriptionally distinct fibroblast subtypes. Differential gene expression and pathway enrichment analyses revealed broad culture-induced ECM-producing and proliferative transcriptional adaptations alongside partial retention of subtype-specific programs.
