Chilling fulfillment is controlled by cultivar genetics and their interaction with local temperature. This study was undertaken to develop an understanding of the regulation of chilling fulfillment in two cold climate cultivars: V. hybrid 'Marquette' and 'Brianna'. The chilling fulfillment profiles were monitored in Marquette and Brianna in controlled (4C chilling) and Natural (field conditions in SD). There were significant differences in chilling fulfillment transcriptome profiles between the cultivars during the endodormant and ecodormant periods of winter. Chilling fulfillment under natural conditions and constant 4 ̊C showed significant cultivar, condition (chilling treatment), and time point interactions, indicating the cultivars differed in chilling fulfillment responses.</description><dates><publication>2026/06/30</publication></dates><accession>GSE337039</accession><cross_references><GSM>GSM9847289</GSM><GSM>GSM9847280</GSM><GSM>GSM9847282</GSM><GSM>GSM9847281</GSM><GSM>GSM9847284</GSM><GSM>GSM9847283</GSM><GSM>GSM9847286</GSM><GSM>GSM9847285</GSM><GSM>GSM9847288</GSM><GSM>GSM9847287</GSM><GSM>GSM9847257</GSM><GSM>GSM9847256</GSM><GSM>GSM9847259</GSM><GSM>GSM9847258</GSM><GSM>GSM9847291</GSM><GSM>GSM9847290</GSM><GSM>GSM9847293</GSM><GSM>GSM9847292</GSM><GSM>GSM9847295</GSM><GSM>GSM9847294</GSM><GSM>GSM9847253</GSM><GSM>GSM9847297</GSM><GSM>GSM9847296</GSM><GSM>GSM9847299</GSM><GSM>GSM9847255</GSM><GSM>GSM9847254</GSM><GSM>GSM9847298</GSM><GSM>GSM9847268</GSM><GSM>GSM9847301</GSM><GSM>GSM9847267</GSM><GSM>GSM9847300</GSM><GSM>GSM9847303</GSM><GSM>GSM9847302</GSM><GSM>GSM9847269</GSM><GSM>GSM9847305</GSM><GSM>GSM9847304</GSM><GSM>GSM9847307</GSM><GSM>GSM9847306</GSM><GSM>GSM9847309</GSM><GSM>GSM9847308</GSM><GSM>GSM9847260</GSM><GSM>GSM9847262</GSM><GSM>GSM9847261</GSM><GSM>GSM9847264</GSM><GSM>GSM9847263</GSM><GSM>GSM9847266</GSM><GSM>GSM9847265</GSM><GSM>GSM9847279</GSM><GSM>GSM9847312</GSM><GSM>GSM9847311</GSM><GSM>GSM9847278</GSM><GSM>GSM9847271</GSM><GSM>GSM9847270</GSM><GSM>GSM9847273</GSM><GSM>GSM9847272</GSM><GSM>GSM9847275</GSM><GSM>GSM9847274</GSM><GSM>GSM9847310</GSM><GSM>GSM9847277</GSM><GSM>GSM9847276</GSM><GPL>37153</GPL><GSE>337039</GSE><taxon>Vitis hybrid cultivar</taxon></cross_references></HashMap>
