To characterize transcriptome-wide JA responses in Brassica rapa var. trilocularis, we performed time-course RNA sequencing of mock- and methyl jasmonate (MeJA)-treated R-o-18 seedlings. Leaf tissues were collected at 10 min, 24 h, and 72 h after treatment. MeJA induced rapid and extensive transcriptional reprogramming, including activation of defense-related metabolic pathways and suppression of auxin-responsive, cell-cycle, and stomatal-development genes. MeJA also induced ethylene biosynthesis and signaling genes and coordinately activated transcription factors and biosynthetic genes associated with aliphatic and indolic glucosinolate accumulation. These data provide a transcriptomic resource for understanding jasmonate-mediated growth-defense tradeoffs and chemical defense metabolism in B. rapa.</description><dates><publication>2026/08/06</publication></dates><accession>GSE342273</accession><cross_references><GSM>GSM9927033</GSM><GSM>GSM9927034</GSM><GSM>GSM9927023</GSM><GSM>GSM9927031</GSM><GSM>GSM9927032</GSM><GSM>GSM9927037</GSM><GSM>GSM9927026</GSM><GSM>GSM9927038</GSM><GSM>GSM9927027</GSM><GSM>GSM9927024</GSM><GSM>GSM9927035</GSM><GSM>GSM9927025</GSM><GSM>GSM9927036</GSM><GSM>GSM9927040</GSM><GSM>GSM9927030</GSM><GSM>GSM9927028</GSM><GSM>GSM9927039</GSM><GSM>GSM9927029</GSM><GPL>28300</GPL><GSE>342273</GSE><taxon>Brassica rapa</taxon></cross_references></HashMap>
