Collect&amp;nbsp;7.5 mL from each nostril (total 15 mL).&lt;/p>&lt;p>The lavage fluid is then drained into a&amp;nbsp;sterile Petri dish. The contents of the dish are passed through a&amp;nbsp;100 µm cell strainer&amp;nbsp;and transferred to a centrifuge tube. The sample is then centrifuged at&amp;nbsp;3000 × g at 4°C.
