(Jinan, China) and kept under a 12h light/12h dark cycle in standard specific-pathogen-free (SPF) individually vented cages. The mice were given a common diet and free access to water. Mice aged 3 weeks were randomly divided into experimental groups of eight mice, as follows: Control group (gavage with physiological saline (0.9 % NaCl) (150 µL) for 12 days and intraperitoneal injection with physiological saline (0.9 % NaCl) on the 13th day) (Fig.1a); B. infantis group (gavage with 109 CFU/mL B. infantis 15697 (150 µL) for 12 days and intraperitoneal injected physiological saline (0.9 % NaCl) in 13th days) (Fig.1a). After 4 h of intraperitoneal injection, mice were anesthetized and cervical dislocated.
