We report here the genome sequencing of M. cinnamomea strain FCH 10.5, newly isolated from compost of a waste treatment factory in Vietnam, and the analysis of its repertoire of plant cell wall degrading enzymes. In combination with transcriptomics, genes differentially expressed during growth on wheat bran and beechwood xylan were identified.
